Give both builders the same editing and buying tasks
Give Wix and Squarespace the same mug edit, sandbox order, recovery and access tasks before drawing a comparison conclusion. Record completed, assisted and blocked results separately. The worksheet can expose a mismatch between a polished storefront and the future owner’s work, but it does not establish a winner without actual evidence.

Ask the owner to perform each task while the implementer observes. Record completed, assisted or blocked rather than a vague ease-of-use score. Repeat the same tasks on the alternative using an equivalent test catalog. Review plan and region eligibility in current provider documentation before treating a feature as available. Keep paid plan selection outside this worksheet until requirements and commercial terms are verified.
A template can conceal an unsupported checkout requirement
A polished template may hide a checkout requirement that needs another service or plan. The worksheet should show that dependency explicitly instead of giving design polish enough weight to cancel a blocking requirement.
Choose only after the future editor can perform the required work and the purchase path is verified. Where either provider’s current behavior remains untested, mark the row unresolved.
