Buyer guide

Match a campaign landing page to its ad

Match a campaign landing page to the specific promise and action in its ad. The buyer should see the same product, qualification and next step after clicking. Use a promise comparison before changing layout, and verify any offer against the owner's current approved terms.

Compare the ad promise with the complete booking path

Match the workshop activity, date, location, action and approved inclusion across the ad and destination page. A buyer clicking to view sessions should reach that task directly. Comparing explicit promises reveals a content mismatch before layout changes or traffic experiments are considered for the landing page.

Worked example — illustrative data.

Promise Ad wording specimen Landing-page requirement
Activity Beginner pottery workshop Name the same class and level
Place and timing Saturday studio session Show verified venue, date and duration
Action See available sessions Link to the relevant session list
Commercial condition Materials included, if approved Repeat exact supported inclusion and total

Highlight every factual promise in the ad and find its corresponding statement on the page. A missing condition should be corrected where the buyer makes the decision, not buried in a footer. The call to action should lead to the advertised task rather than an unrelated contact form. Check the mobile entry state and the page after a session becomes unavailable. Use approved historical or fictional ad copy for this exercise; no campaign launch is needed.

Follow the promise after the first click

Open the fictional Saturday workshop ad’s destination and continue to the relevant session. Check that the level, venue, date, inclusions and displayed action still agree with the ad. If the advertised session is full, show that state and a clearly labeled alternative rather than sending the buyer to an unrelated offer. Confirm any price or inclusion with the owner.

A full session needs a truthful alternative destination

A campaign can keep pointing at a session after it fills. Offer the relevant next session or a clear unavailable state instead of silently switching the buyer to another product.

Repair a promise mismatch before testing button colors. The comparison is a content method; eligibility, provider access and any paid campaign require separate verification and authorization.

Keep a useful destination that explains the expired session and any real alternatives. Update or pause the associated promotion through an authorized campaign decision. Do not let a saved link imply that a past date is still bookable.
